Full day trips include a stream side picnic lunch with drinks. Half day include only drinks. Trip Duration: Half-day trips amount to 4 hours of on-stream time. Full-day trips amount to 8 hours of on-stream time--transportation to and from the river does not count against your stream-time. I can supply all equipment such as flies, waders/boots, rods & reels. Travel to the fishing spot if not more distant than 70km, is included too. For distant rivers (more than 70km) there is an extra charge based and proportional to the distance (petrol and highway costs). Usually a daily trip to Slovenia costs 60 Euro. A daily trip to Austria 30 Euro.

Fly fishing licence is not included. For more days fishing in Slovenia or Austria, all the costs, (mine too) are sustained by the clients. If the second day is only a "driving back day", there are other 60 Euro to include to the price.


If you can, avoid the week-ends, when rivers are more crowded.

Dear Angelo, I want to thank you for one of the best days fishing I have ever had! You were definitely the best guide! It is not often that one finds a guide with such passion and love for his job. At some point during the day it felt to me as if we were old friends, just having a great days fishing. I am thinking about how we laughed at that crazy fish trying to bite the streamer fly and also about that amazing moment when we saw the large trout with the smaller trout in his mouth! I have definitely never seen that before. The other very important thing for me was that I learnt so much! I never realised how important it is to watch the line and strike indicator and ensure a good hook set. It was a very valuable lesson to me. I also learnt about the high stick method which I will definitely use in the future. To top it all, I also caught two new species: the grayling and brook trout which was very special for me. The day ended perfectly when we caught the small brook trout.
Thank you once again for a very special day and I hope that sometime in the future we can fish together again. I will certainly tell all my friends about you if they go to Italy !
