Since Swiss CDC offers a wide range of very good tying materials, it was our thought and ambition to produce a series of tying tools that would do justice to the quality of the Swiss CDC tying materials. The well-known fly tyer Christian Kuchelmeister put a lot of thought into the design and practical application and developed various tools in a quality and functionality that has never been achieved before.
Swiss CDC can now present the latest result with the MultiClamp - Minus material clamp. This modern, decisively improved material clamp is made entirely of high-strength, stainless steel. The surface is glare-free surface-treated, the design is very modern and trimmed to pure functionality. As with the original design, the clamping area is kept open so that the clamped material can be bundled and processed with ease using thumb and forefinger and without additional tools. With the pointedly designed shape of the jaws, it is possible to drive directly into the deer hair to take it into the dubbing loop over the entire jaw width. Artificial material such as craft fur can also be taken directly from the mat into the clamp with the Multiclamp - Minus. Thus, not only the traditional processing of CDC with the MultiClamp - Minus is given. It also appeals to fly tyers who have to put a lot of artificial material into the loop to tie streamers. A ruler is laser-applied to the clamping jaws in a 2.5 mm graduation so that the material can always be tied in the same amount. The MultiClamp - Minus has a further advantage when processing the coarser Swiss CDC hair dubbings. Due to the small radius at the clamping edges, hair can be picked up loosely from the binding table. The optimised MultiClamp - Minus material clamp is now available in both right-hand and left-hand versions. With the new MultiClamp - Minus, the fly tyer holds an unusual, multifunctional tool in his hand that clearly surpasses the quality of comparable tools on the market. A tying tool with serial number in proven Swiss quality.
